New Year's Sunset by MidnightTheCat New Year's Sunset by MidnightTheCat
Jeez. First day of 2011, and we already have a gorgeous sunset. :wow: Unbelievable!

I'm not even kidding. I was just sitting in my basement, on my laptop, and I happened to take a peek at one of the tiny curtained windows down here. I saw a little pink shining through, which stirred my curiosity, so I ran upstairs, looked out the window that leads to the woods, and saw that the sky was pretty. However, the woods do not face the west, so I did not photograph that. I grabbed my camera, ran outside, and, well, this is what I saw on the other side of my block. I only wish I could have gotten the whole thing. :(

Yeah, I was really debating whether or not I should, because I know your sis has seen enough sunsets from this state to last her a lifetime. :lmao: But it was too pretty to pass up.

That's true. :D Only wish the west wasn't in such a boring location over here, but I can't help that. I like the silhouettes of the trees anyway.

Yes I love the silhouettes! I don't think it's a boring place at all. Though that could be our "grass is greener" debate making an appearance again. ;P

^^; Yeah. Seriously, this just looks a bit like a stereotypical 1950's-1960's American suburban area, if you know what I mean. Y'know, a bunch of two-story houses that all look the same, well-manicured lawns, and all that. =P
Okay, they don't ALL look the same, but you know what I mean. xD

Although it might be worth getting pictures of when spring comes around, and everything isn't so dead looking and people are planting flowers and stuff. ;p

Haha, I think I know what you're on about. Still, that can be a good thing in a photograph when you don't want to main focus to be the houses? If that makes sense? *is not a photographer so should not be acting like I know what I'm on about* ^^' You know what's worse then well-manicured laws? you're neighbours,/i> having well-manicured laws and your garden being a jubgle. I swear, whereever we move we seem to move next to a gardening enthusiast. xD

I love flowers ^_^ Lol, sounds good!

No, I don't know what you mean, but the focus was the sun and pretty colors, so whatever.
That's us, too. Seriously... although it's not so much our garden being a jungle than it is being plain, but that's because we have all these stupid rocks in the way. :ohnoes: lol Actually, I remember showing Mom the squirrel photo, and she was like, "At least the lawn looks alright in that." :giggle:

Me, too. :aww:
